Aisha is joined on lead vocals by Jules, who is the band’s talented vocalist-guitarist. Jules first picked up a guitar in his teens after listening to his older brother's music collection and was inspired by Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin. Jules graduated with a Diploma in Guitar from the Institue of Contemporary Music Performance where he developed a passion for reggae, soul, and jazz and has since been playing guitar and singing professionally for a cool 25 years. Over the course of Jules’s career, he has worked with artists such as Boy George, and Sinead O'Connor. Jules has recorded for films and TV such as 'The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy', and 'The League of Gentlemen’; performed live on BBC Radio 2 for the Claudia Winkelman show and Radio 4 for Loose Ends; and has recorded music for Radio 3. Jules has also extensively toured Europe, performed at the Cahors Blues Festival in France, the St Lucia Jazz Festival in the Caribbean, and Glastonbury right here in our very own backyard. 

For those of you wanting to sprinkle your event with some tasteful rap, this is where Zeb comes in. He’s not only a lyrical whiz, but he plays trombone and trumpet too. So not only can Zeb provide an extra special rap interlude or two, but he can also make sure your performance is full of beautiful rich brassy tones as he swaps between his trombone and trumpet from song to song. Zeb is well-versed in the music industry with an extensive performance CV. Some of his most notable achievements include playing for the NFL at Wembley, the English Cricket Brass Band, being part of the England Football Association and Rugby Football Union bands, performing with Mika, Jason Donovan, McFly, Elton John, and TLC; and being part of several West End productions, including ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie!’

Aisha, Jules, and Zeb are backed by Marco on bass, Renes on keys and backing vocals, Mathias on drums, and Thiago on saxophone. The band members have all been passionate about music from young ages and set their hearts on careers in music from very early on. With a combination of being self-taught, trained at the British Institute of Modern Music, and the Saint Louise Jazz School in Rome, the band members have achieved so much in the music industry, including playing with or the likes of Maceo Parker (of Parliament-Funkadelic), Bonnie Fields and Martha High (of James Brown), Tony Coleman (of BB King), The Brand New Heavies, and the James Taylor Quartet; and have supported Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, Rise Against, Sublime with Rome, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Fishbone, Pepper, Incognito, The Average White Band, Jeff Lorber, Esperanza Spolding, George Benson, and Katchafire; they’ve graced the stages at Glastonbury, The Chichester Chilli Festival, Reading Festival,  Basingstoke Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Haitimed in Dusseldorf, Slam Dunk, Boomtown Fair, Rebellion Festival, Manchester Punk Festival, Saint Lucia Jazz Festival, Wien Jazz Fest; played at the renowned Manchester Palace, Liverpool Empire, City Hall Newcastle, Electric Ballroom, KOKO, The Underworld, O2 Academy Oxford, Nowrwich Arts Centre, Roundhouse, Brixton Academy, O2 Indigo, the Purcell Room, and the Jazz Café; and have performed for the West End touring show "You Win Again"; and even had number 1 albums in the Soul Charts. It’s safe to say you can rest easy knowing you have some of the most experienced musicians on the circuit performing for you. 

Aisha, Jules, and Zeb lead the way in One Love as they perform the band’s reggae, pop, and soul repertoire including hits from the iconic Bob Marley, Pharrell, and Aretha Franklin. The band has a repertoire with over 500 songs and covers a multitude of genres such as reggae, pop, soul, x x x x x x!

One Love welcomes you to tailor the setlist for your big day. For a standard 2x60mins or 3x40mins performance you can select up to 10 songs from the band’s repertoire, and the band will endeavour to accommodate all of your requests, given a month’s notice. For short notice bookings, you are still very welcome to send over your suggestions, and as always, the band will do their utmost to accommodate as many requests as possible. One Love is also very happy to learn an ‘off the menu’ song request for you, for example, a first dance or your favourite song.

Upon booking, you will have a dedicated band manager as your point of contact to ensure the band is 100% on the same page as you well in advance of your event. Having this point of contact means you can count on excellent, fast, friendly, and warm communication at all times. It also means that come the big day every single crease will be ironed out and it will mean smooth sailing for both client and band alike.

All in all, One Love’s band members are a very friendly and flexible bunch and take great pride in providing excellent musicianship and creating a really fun atmosphere wherever they go. The band has a big long list of songs spanning different genres and decades for you to pick from and can play complimentary playlist music (which you are welcome to tailor) before, in-between, and after live sets until curfew. The band can be on-site for up to 7 hours, or until midnight as standard. They are happy to accommodate early arrivals before 5pm and late stays after midnight if needed too. The band is also able to provide a band member DJ-ing should you wish to have a live DJ before, between, or after band sets. The band brings a full PA and lighting rig with them wherever they go, so all you need to do is book the band and you can tick the entertainment off your to-do list in one fell swoop because One Love will have you covered.
