Jen & Tom’s Wedding at The Old Hall Ely
Rhona Downie · 2017-04-23 · 3 min read

On 1 April 2017, we sent our five-piece party band—two vocalists, guitar, bass and drums—to The Old Hall Ely in Cambridgeshire. And firstly, may I say, don’t hold the words “old hall” against this venue. There was no musty old town hall in sight; instead, the band rolled up to this gorgeous, picturesque venue.

The band members arrived at 5pm, giving them 90 minutes for setup and soundcheck. They began setting up in the marquee, which was permanently attached to the venue. The marquee already had a black star-lit effect on the walls and ceiling, and led straight to the dining area.
They worked quickly and quietly, since the wedding guests were just on the other side of the door, while waiting for the green light from Alex Moresby, wedding planner and stylist extraordinaire, to fit soundcheck around the speeches as requested by Jen.
After soundcheck, the band grabbed a meal from the BBQ to fuel up. They also posed for a photograph with our official Supreme Collective photographer, Natalja Safronova, whom we had brought along before the doors opened and the party began.
