The Ignitons at Claire & Jamie's Wedding
We had our smashing 4-piece indie rock band head out to Hatfield in Hertfordshire to perform for Claire & Jamie’s wedding celebrations at their parents house. They had a fabulous space in the garden with a large marquee, which was separated into two areas. The band brought their PA system and lights for the occasion, they arrived at 5.15pm and got all set up with Claire, Jamie and their guests finishing off their dinner in one side of the marquee. Once all the guests were finished eating the band did a quick sound check while the guests were having drinks. It’s fair to say there was a fair amount of anticipation building in the marquee as the boys sound checked in preparation for the evening reception.
The band were all set up and ready to go by 7.15pm, as per the schedule. The band played some background music by means of a cross fading Spotify playlist and the first live set kicked off at 8.30pm with the first dance being Universal by Blur.
Other songs the band played, which were all picked by Claire and Jamie included classic greats like Last Nite by The Strokes, Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand, My Generation by The Who and Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac.
The band had kids on stage with them, air guitar competitions, crowd surfing, and an a-ha! choir to Take On Me. Safe to say the band and audience had a super fun night, but don’t take it from us! Here’s some feedback from Claire and Jamie with scores and everything!
